FAQ

Are Luke Grant-Muller shoes unisex?

Yes. Every design is unisex and produced in whole UK sizes 3 to 12, the equivalent of roughly EU 36 to 47. The same shoe is offered to everyone; choose your usual UK size.

How do I choose my size?

Select your usual UK shoe size. International conversions are a guide only because sizing varies between brands and countries. See the size guide for UK, EU and US conversions. If you are between sizes, email the studio with the design, your usual UK size and your foot length in centimetres before ordering.

Do you make half sizes?

No. All designs are made in whole UK sizes only. If you are usually a half size, contact the studio before ordering and we can advise on the design you have in mind.

Are there women's and men's versions?

No separate versions are needed: each design is a single unisex shoe in UK sizes 3 to 12. The size guide includes US men's and US women's conversions.

What are the shoes made from?

Most designs have a PU upper with a metallic, mirror or holographic finish, a leather lining and a leather sole. The Porcelain Blue and White, Black Outline White and Patent White Wingtip Derby designs have leather uppers, and the Qinghua Porcelain brogue uses high-gloss patent leather with raised 3D-printed surface detail. Each product page lists its exact materials.

How do I look after metallic, mirror and holographic finishes?

Wipe or buff with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture, rain, harsh chemicals and abrasive surfaces, which can dull or scratch a reflective finish. Store the shoes apart so the uppers do not rub against each other.

How do I look after patent and painted designs?

Wipe patent leather with a soft, damp cloth and keep it away from sharp objects and prolonged moisture. Keep printed and white leather designs away from prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and dark surfaces that can transfer colour.

Can I wear the shoes in the rain?

They are designed for dry conditions. An occasional shower is fine if you wipe them dry afterwards, but prolonged exposure to water can affect the metallic, printed and holographic finishes.

How quickly will my order be dispatched?

Physically in-stock pairs normally dispatch within one working day of payment. Orders placed at weekends or on UK bank holidays are processed on the next working day. Standard delivery is free worldwide, and delivery estimates are shown at checkout before you pay.

How do preorders and deposits work?

Where a size is not in stock you can reserve a pair from a future production run with a deposit. The deposit is part-payment towards the total price, not an extra fee. Manufacturing normally takes around six to eight weeks once production begins, and the estimate for your order is shown before you buy. You can cancel for a full refund before production begins, and if we cannot complete a preorder everything you paid is refunded.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Standard delivery is free to every country, sent with a tracked courier chosen for the destination. International delivery times vary with customs processing. Unless checkout states otherwise, import duties, taxes and customs fees are paid by the recipient on arrival.

Is delivery free?

Yes. Standard delivery is free worldwide on every order, with tracking where available.

Can I return my shoes?

Yes. You can cancel an online order from the moment you place it until 14 days after delivery. Email store@lukegrantmuller.co.uk first so we can give you the return address. Try the shoes indoors on a clean, soft surface and return them unworn with the original packaging. Full details are in the refund policy.

Can I buy a sold-out design?

Some designs, such as the Qinghua Porcelain and Black Outline White brogues, are made in limited runs. When a design is sold out you can contact the studio to register your interest in the next production run.

Where have the shoes been shown?

The footwear has been exhibited at London Fashion Week and worn on the London Fashion Week catwalks of Fyodor Golan and Ashley Isham. Catwalk footage, editorial shoots and photos from customers are collected on the As seen in page.

Who designs the shoes?

Every design comes from the independent Luke Grant-Muller studio in London. Classic brogues, derbies and bowling shoes are used as a starting point and reworked in mirror metallics, holographic surfaces, porcelain patterns and laser-etched imagery. Read more about the studio.

How can I contact the studio?

Email store@lukegrantmuller.co.uk. Include your order number if your question is about an existing order.
