The Original Mirror-Finish Brogues

The original Luke Grant-Muller mirror-finish brogues place a highly reflective metallic surface over the familiar structure of a brogue shoe. The result changes with light, movement and its surroundings.

What makes a mirror-finish brogue different?

A conventional brogue is recognised through its panelled upper and decorative perforation. In the mirror-finish designs, that familiar structure is retained while the surface becomes reflective. Instead of behaving like a fixed colour, the shoe picks up fragments of the space around it.

The contrast is central to the design: an established footwear form is paired with a finish that feels graphic, unstable and contemporary.

Silver, gold and holographic finishes

The collection explores several related effects. Mirror silver produces the clearest reflective appearance. Mirror gold gives the same form a warmer metallic cast. Holographic iridescence shifts across several colours as the viewing angle and light change.

These are not subtle substitutes for conventional black or brown shoes. They are statement shoes designed to remain visually active while being worn.

Why use a traditional brogue?

The brogue gives the reflective material a disciplined framework. Its seams, panels and perforations divide the surface and make the changing reflections easier to read. The tension between a traditional silhouette and an unexpected finish became one of the label's recurring design methods.

How they are worn

The shoes can be used as the focal point of restrained tailoring, or combined with equally expressive clothing. Because the finish responds strongly to its surroundings, the same pair can appear different in daylight, artificial light, still photographs and movement.
